Alumnus Finishes EdD & Accepts Position with Golden Gate Park

SFSU MS Biology Alumnus (2005) and SEPAL-graduate student researcher, Dr. Jamie Chan, completed her doctorate (EdD!), entitled “Exploring the Development of BIPOC Preservice Teacher’s Pedagogical Practices and Identity During a Linguistic and Equity Focused Science Teaching Practicum Course” at SFSU in 2022. Additionally, Dr. Chan has just been hired as Director of Programs and Partnerships with The Gardens of Golden Gate Park. This position oversees all educational programs coming out of our gardens (SF Botanical, Conservatory of Flowers, and Japanese Tea Gardens), as well as all events and adult education…Wow!!
