Congratulations to our Two Spectrum Participants

Please join SEPAL in congratulating two outstanding Spectrum participants who were recently selected for prestigious awards.

JenniferChinchilla

Spectrum Scientist, Jennifer Chinchilla, was selected for the SFSU Community Service Learning Award for the two years of outstanding participation in the Spectrum program to co-sponsor after-school science clubs for girls of color at local SF middle schools.

Spectrum Faculty and SFSU Biology Professor, Dr. Letica Marquez-Magana was selected to be featured in the new magazine, Cosmo for Latinas!  She was just awarded the 2013 Fun/Fearless award in the Science area for her contributions in science and the mentorship she provides for students of color at SFSU.  Please keep an eye out for the issue appearing on newsstands on June 2013.
